Congressional Art Competition

April 26 - May 4, 2019

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.

The Desert Caballeros Western Museum will host an exhibition of work from Arizona’s 4th District from April 26 – May 4. You’re invited to join the student artists and their families for an award ceremony and reception with Representative Paul Gosar from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 4. The event is free to the public.
