Oralia Lopez is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz. She is a second generation potter, born in 1984 to Uriel Lopez and Jesus Guillen. She grew up in Barrio Lopez and learned to make pottery from her mother and older sister, Maribel Lopez. Her uncle is Leonel Lopez, Sr. She now lives in the Phoenix area, but she still imports Mata Ortiz clay to make her unique geometric patterned jars.
