Join Gina Beck, WAC member and owner of “Gina’s Place” in downtown Wickenburg, for a painting demonstration on Saturday, August 26th between 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The demonstration is in conjunction with West of Center: Highlights from the Wickenburg Art Club, an exhibition and sale of artwork by Wickenburg’s talented local artists.
Gina will teach you how to get the effects you want in your painting by “Bumping, Blending, and Layering with Acrylics.” She’ll demonstrate the importance of understanding color and the difference between opaque and transparent techniques. Even though the demo will be using acrylics these techniques can be used in all painting media.
The demonstration will be at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s Learning Center located at 10 N. Tegner St. Admission to the Learning Center during the demonstration is free to the public. Come by to view the show and learn a bit about Gina’s loose, colorful style of painting the beauty of the West.
